<Day 1> After the regular schedule ends, a special time just for Murodo Accommodation
◆ Evening... Stroll around Murodo during the evening when only Accommodation are staying at the hotel.

◆At night... A slide show of the great nature of "Tateyama Kurobe" will be shown. Enjoy an explanation of the nature and history of Tateyama! On clear days, a stargazing event will also be held on the hotel rooftop.
★The best time to enjoy stargazing is around the time of the new moon when there is little moonlight★

<Day 2> Enjoy the view of the Alps first thing in the morning, a unique experience only possible with Accommodation at Murodo!
★Limited to departures from May 15th to June 28th! After breakfast, go ptarmigan watching with a guide (Murodo-daira area)
*For safety reasons, we ask that you refrain from walking around the area on your own.
May and June are the best months to see white-winged ptarmigan!
The rock ptarmigan was designated a Special Natural Monument by the government in 1955. There are approximately 280 rock ptarmigan (as of 2011) living around Murododaira. This bird lives in high mountains, and Mt. Tateyama has the largest population of these birds among the central mountain ranges. On the sacred mountain of Mt. Tateyama, they have long been cherished as messengers of the gods.

It comes with a guiding receiver, so you can easily hear the directions while walking, supporting you to have a fulfilling stroll!

Mr. Saeki Tomohiko is a guide who was born and raised in Ashikuraji at the foot of Mt. Tateyama and knows the Tateyama mountain range inside and out.
The great-grandson of Saeki Heizo, who is famous as a great guide of Tateyama, and who is a professional Tateyama guide, will accompany the tour! (Accompanying person will be Murodo only)
In addition to explanations about the magnificent nature, we will also guide you through the historical culture of Tateyama.

<From May 8th> The "E-SORA Tateyama Panorama Bus" with a transparent roof will be chartered and operated!
Club Tourism will be chartering and operating the only panoramic bus on the alpine route between Bijodaira and Murodo on Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route!

Take a stroll through Murododaira, a flower field above the clouds where alpine plants bloom in full glory
After the snow melts, from July to mid-September, it's time to hike Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route!
Murodo is located at an altitude of 2,450m, so even in summer the average temperature is below 20 degrees, making it an ideal summer getaway and a great place to enjoy walking.
This is the season when you can also observe rare alpine plants that can only be seen at high altitudes.

You can enjoy the spectacular view of autumn leaves a little earlier than usual.
The autumn leaves on Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route are the earliest in Japan, along with those on Mount Daisetsu in Hokkaido, and usually start changing from mid-September around Tateyama Murododaira! With an elevation difference of 1,975m from the summit to the base, you can enjoy autumn leaves at different times in various locations. This is the second most popular season after Snow Wall!

What to wear and what to bring on Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route

A backpack is convenient as it leaves your hands free. Please keep your carry-on luggage as small as possible. Please avoid carrying carry-on bags whenever possible.
*All rides on the Alpine Route are shared with general passengers.

●A raincoat with a hood is a must. It keeps you safe from the rain even without an umbrella, so you can move around freely.

Comfortable shoes: There are some areas around Murodo where you will be walking on snow. We recommend wearing non-slip trekking shoes or sneakers that you are comfortable wearing.
