◆Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum
Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum, one of the three largest dinosaur museums in the world, has 50 complete dinosaur skeletons on display, including the skeletons of Fukuiraptor and Fukuisaurus excavated in Fukui Prefecture. Enjoy the world of geology and paleontology, including dinosaurs!

◆ Eiheiji Temple, the head temple of the Soto sect
This is the head temple of the Soto sect of Buddhism, boasting a history of around 770 years. It was originally a training center for monks who practiced Zen, founded by Zen Master Dogen in 1244. Even now, more than 770 years later, the training at Eiheiji is said to be the most rigorous in Zen Buddhism, with around 160 unsui monks living there.

◆Ichijodani Asakura Clan Ruins
Ichijodani was the base of operations for the Asakura clan, which ruled Echizen for 103 years during the Sengoku period. Excavations have been carried out in recent years, and the entire townscape has been uncovered in almost perfect condition, from samurai residences, temples, town houses, craftsmen's residences, and roads, so you can enjoy the atmosphere of a castle town from the Sengoku period by walking around. It is said that Akechi Mitsuhide, who became a hot topic in the historical drama, also lived here for about 10 years.

◆Tojinbo
This is a scenic spot with a series of cliffs roughly cut by wave erosion. It stretches for about 1km along the coastline of Mikuni Town, Fukui Prefecture. It is said that there are only three places in the world, including Tojinbo, where the geologically rare rock formations known as "pyroxene andesite columnar joints" can be found, and they have been designated a national natural monument.
