Rikuzentakata Miracle Pine Tree and Iwate TSUNAMI Memorial
It is a symbol of the reconstruction of Rikuzentakata, passing on to future generations the story of the "Miracle Pine Tree" that survived the tsunami caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake.
At the Iwate TSUNAMI Memorial, you can see the situation and documents from that time.

*If the train you are using has stops along the way, you may get on and off. If you wish to board from a station, please inform us in advance when making your reservation, or check your "Travel Guide (Departure Information)" and call our call center at least 4 days before the departure date to let us know. The fare to the station where midway ride will be borne by the customer. In addition, when boarding, please purchase an admission ticket (at your own expense) and come to the platform. Even if you contact us at the last minute, we may not be able to make arrangements. Even if we are able to make a reservation, you may be separated from other passengers in the car and seat.
