Located downstream of Yubara Dam, the hot spring is characterized by its high-quality, highly alkaline spring water that is smooth to the touch.
The symbol of Yubara Onsen town is the large open-air natural bath called "Sunayu," which is made up of hot spring water that bubbles up from the bottom of the river.
Thanks to the cooperation of local residents, it is open 24 hours a day, free of charge.

♪ "Sunayu" is a natural open-air bath that has remained unchanged since ancient times, set in the pristine scenery of Yubara Onsen.

<How to Enter the Sand Bath (Etiquette)>
As this is a mixed-gender bath, we recommend that women rent bathing suits. Bathing with a towel wrapped around you is also permitted.
*Men should cover themselves with a towel when bathing.
* Bathing suits can be rented at the Accommodation (additional charge of 500 yen)
*Swimsuits are permitted. Please refrain from bathing wearing underwear or other clothing.
