大洗磯前神社と同時期に創建され二社で一つの兄弟神社。社殿に向かう参道の両側には樹齢300年をこえる椿やタブノキがトンネル状に覆い並び、荘厳な景観です。

太平洋に面した丘の上に鎮座する大洗磯前神社。856年、大洗磯前に降り立った大己貴命（おおなむちのみこと）と少彦名命（すくなひこなのみこと）の2柱の神様を祀っています。神が降臨する地とされている「神磯の鳥居」は、大洗海岸の岩の上に立っています。荒々しい白波の中、白い鳥居が静かに佇んでいる姿は神秘的です。
