◎[Sightseeing] Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route
Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route is one of the world's leading mountain tourist routes, running through the Northern Alps, where peaks reach altitudes of over 3,000 meters.
It has a total length of 37.2 km and a maximum elevation difference of 1,975 m. Almost the entire section is located within Chubu Sangaku National Park.
You can easily ride from Tateyama Station in Tateyama Town on the Toyama side to Ogizawa Station in Omachi City on the Nagano side, passing through a number of scenic spots, and enjoy the magnificent natural scenery of Tateyama Kurobe, which spreads out above the clouds.

After the snow melts, from July to mid-September is the best time to explore Murodo!
Murodo is located at an altitude of 2,450m, so even in summer the average temperature is below 20 degrees, making it an ideal summer getaway and a great place to enjoy walking.

The autumn leaves on Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route usually start changing around mid-Sep. near Tateyama Murododaira.
The difference in elevation from the summit to the base of the mountain is 1,975m, so you can enjoy autumn foliage at different times from various locations.

What to wear and what to bring on Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route
Large luggage can be stored on the baggage transfer bus.
Accommodation Large luggage can be left on the baggage transfer bus.
However, since you will not be able to return to retrieve your luggage while passing through the Alpine Route, please make sure to pack any baggage you will need during your walk (valuables, rain gear, cold weather clothing, etc.) as small as possible and bring it with you as carry-on baggage.
