In order to support the Noto Peninsula, which was hit by the Noto Peninsula earthquake in January 2024, through travel, Club Tourism has planned and sold tours that include a ride on the Noto Railway accompanied by a storyteller guide and a visit to the Wakura hot spring town, in an effort to ensure that the earthquake disaster is not forgotten and to continue supporting the recovery.
This time, the three parties have joined forces, with Ishikawa Prefecture planning a "Trip to Learn About the Earthquake in Noto" aimed at elementary school students in the Tokyo metropolitan area and their parents, Gakken creating a summer vacation independent study booklet called "Earthquake Learning Program" based on prior on-site research, and Club Tourism commercializing it as a summer vacation family trip using Noto Satoyama Airport.
The purpose of this tour is to have parents and children learn lessons from the disaster through a summer vacation trip to Noto, as well as to let them know that "Noto is now available for visits." Participants will learn about the current situation of the disaster area and the process of reconstruction while touring Noto's tourist sites and facilities, and will complete a summer vacation independent research booklet called "Disaster Learning Program."
