Hotokegaura
Hotokegaura is a 3km stretch of coastline that connects Fukuura and Ushitaki, on the blade of the axe-shaped Shimokita Peninsula.
This coastline is lined with strangely shaped pale blue rocks, creating a scene that truly resembles paradise at the end of the earth.
The names of the rocks are all related to Buddha, such as 500 Arhats, Nyorai no Kubi, Kannon Rock, and Jizo Rock.

Omazaki is the northernmost cape on the main island of Japan, located in Oma Town, Shimokita District, Aomori Prefecture.
On a clear day, the Hokkaido coastline stretches from Hakodate to Cape Esan.
It is just under 18 kilometers from Cape Shiokubi in Hokkaido, making it the shortest point between Honshu and Hokkaido.

■Hotokegaura sightseeing boats are shared with the general public. If the boat is cancelled due to bad weather or if you decline to board, we will refund the group boarding fee. Please wear life jackets if they are provided.
