Only on this day of the year! The "fire prevention" festival is held at Itsukushima Shrine every year around 6 p.m. on New Year's Eve.
We invite you to witness a magnificent festival where participants carry blazing torches and run along the approach to the shrine while chanting.
At the fire extinguishing ceremony,each person will receive one "Sogi," a charm to ward off fires!
