Hirosaki Park
Hirosaki Castle is a flatland castle built by the Tsugaru clan.
Also known for the Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival, it is one of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in Aomori.
The sight of approximately 2,600 cherry trees in full bloom, including Somei Yoshino, weeping cherry, and double cherry trees, is overwhelming to behold.

Kakunodate Samurai Residences Street
Known for its dense groves and stately mansions, Kakunodate flourished as a castle town of the Ashina and Satake Kita clans during the Edo period.
The weeping cherry trees that adorn the samurai residence area and Somei Yoshino on the bank of the Hinokinai River that runs nearby are magnificent.

Ishiwari Sakura
This Azuma Higan cherry tree is 300 to 400 years old and is located in the front garden of the Morioka District Court.
From a huge granite cleft measuring 21 meters in circumference and 1.7 meters in height
It has a thick trunk, lush branches and leaves, and beautiful flowers bloom every spring.

Koiwai's single cherry tree
A single cherry tree stands on the green land of Koiwai Farm with the majestic Iwate in the background. It is an Edohigan tree that is said to have been planted about 100 years ago in the 1900s, and was used as a shade tree to protect cows from the summer sun when this area was a pasture. During the cherry blossom season, you can enjoy the contrast with the remaining snow on Iwate.
