In 1994, the Chizu Express Line opened and began operating, linking the Keihanshin area with Tottori.
It provides important transport links and boasts a top speed of 130 km/h, making it one of the fastest in Japan.
The train's name comes from "Inaba no Shirousagi" (The White Rabbit of Inaba) and is the on-reading of "Shirousagi."
