The head shrine of approximately 12,000 shrines across the country that worship Sugawara no Michizane (Tenjin-sama) as their deity.

Renovation of the main hall, an important cultural property, will take place for the first time in 124 years starting in May. 2023 and will take place over a period of approximately three years.
