Cruise to the World Heritage Site, Gunkanjima (landing observation/guided tour)
World Heritage Site Gunkanjima (official name: Hashima Island)
At its peak it was an overcrowded city. It closed in 1974 and is now in ruins.
It was named "Battleship Island" because its appearance resembles the battleship "Tosa."
It once thrived due to its undersea coal mines, but became deserted when the mines closed in 1974.
