The remote island of Koshikijima is designated as a quasi-national park. Koshikijima is an archipelago floating in the sea to the west of Kagoshima Prefecture.
It consists of three inhabited islands, Kamikoshikijima, Nakakoshikijima, and Shimokoshikijima, and numerous uninhabited islands, and is surrounded by a warm climate.
It is blessed with abundant nature and seafood.
In Aug. 2020, the Koshiki Ohashi Bridge connecting Shimokoshikijima and Nakakoshikijima was opened, uniting the Koshikijima archipelago.
