Takachiho Shrine
The head shrine of the 88 shrines in Takachiho. The deities worshipped are Takachiho-no-Mikoto and Jusha-Daimyojin.
It is widely worshipped as a god of matchmaking, traffic safety, and protection from evil.
The "Chichibu Cedar (800 years old)" and "Meoto Cedar" stand tall.

Takachiho Gorge and Manai Falls
Takachiho Gorge is designated as a national scenic spot and natural monument.
There is a walking path inside the gorge, so you can enjoy it safely. Nearby is the impressive Manai Falls!

Usa Shrine
This is the head shrine of Hachiman, of which there are over 40,000 shrines across the country.
Built in 725, it has a history of about 1,300 years.

For Tokaido, Sanyo, Kyushu, and Nishi-Kyushu Shinkansen trains, from May 20, 2020 onwards, if you wish to bring on board luggage whose three sides exceed 160 cm in total (hereinafter referred to as "oversized luggage"), you must reserve a seat with an oversized luggage area in advance, so please be sure to request this when applying for your trip (there is no reservation fee, but the number of seats is limited). Even if you contact us at the last minute, we may not be able to make arrangements. Even if we are able to make a reservation, you may be separated from other passengers in the car and seat. Please note that luggage whose three sides exceed 250 cm in total cannot be brought on board. If you bring on "oversized luggage" without making a reservation in advance, you will need to pay a handling fee (1,000 yen including tax) on board, so please divide your luggage into smaller pieces as much as possible.
