☆★ Orionid meteor shower observation event at Shizukuishi Plateau ★☆
What is the Orionid meteor shower?
This year, the new moon will occur at the peak of the event, making it ideal for viewing as it will not be affected by the moon.
The Orionid meteor shower typically occurs between Oct. 2nd and Nov. 7th, with the peak occurring around Oct. 21st or 22nd.
During the peak period, it is said that the approximate number of meteors that can be seen per hour when observing from a location with a dark sky is 15-20.
This course will feature an Orionid meteor shower observation event hosted by an expert "star sommelier" on two consecutive nights at the summit of the Shizukuishi Galaxy Ropeway!
Since it's two consecutive nights, you'll have a double chance to see shooting stars!!
*It may not be possible to view the Orionid meteor shower depending on weather conditions.
