The town of Bisei has enacted a light pollution prevention ordinance and is united in protecting the starry sky.
Stargazing in Bisei Town, known as a town where you can see the beautiful stars!

Bisei Astronomical Observatory is an observatory located on a hill in Bisei Town.
You can view the moon, planets, and seasonal celestial bodies through one of the largest telescopes in Japan.

"Bisei-cho, Ibara City, Okayama Prefecture" is a town where you can see beautiful stars, just as its name suggests.
The Bisei Town Light Pollution Prevention Ordinance, the first of its kind in Japan, was enacted to protect the beautiful starry sky.
The town is also famous among astronomers as a place where the whole community works together to protect the beautiful starry sky.
Outdoor lights are turned off after 10pm.
Efforts are being made to close curtains so that light from inside the house does not leak outside.
