◆ Kenrokuen Garden one of Japan's three most famous gardens
It is famous as one of the three most famous gardens in Japan and has been designated a special national scenic spot.
The vast garden is dotted with artificial hills, ponds, teahouses and more, allowing visitors to enjoy the various natural beauties throughout the four seasons. It is a garden where visitors can wander around enjoying each of the different landscapes.

◆ Spectacular cliff views at Tojinbo
The highlight of Tojinbo is undoubtedly the various rock faces that have been roughly cut by the erosion of the waves.
about１The cliff stretches for kilometers, and the sight of the rough waves of the Sea of Japan crashing against it is truly spectacular.
Such huge columnar joints of pyroxene andesite can only be found here in Japan, making it a valuable geological site and a designated national natural monument.

◆ Eiheiji Temple, the head temple of the Soto sect
This is the head temple of the Soto sect of Buddhism, which has been in existence for about 770 years. It was originally founded by Zen Master Dogen in 1244 as a training center for monks who wished to become monks. Even now, more than 770 years later, the training at Eiheiji is said to be the most rigorous in Zen Buddhism, with about 160 monks, known as unsui, living there.
